Foreplay remains hot property

Foreplay has confirmed his place as one of Australia's best young stallions. At the end of last season, Foreplay had 47.1% winners/runners placing him third on the list behind second-season stallions Jet Spur's 49.3% and Snitzel's 48.6%, but ahead of Stratum (40.1%), Starcraft (28%) and Domesday (37.5%). All these stallions command a significant higher fee than Foreplay's 2011 fee of $11,000 (inc. GST).

The good run of Wadham Park’s fillies continued today at Ballarat when the Testa Rossa (pictured) filly Floren scored an effortless eight-lengths win (1100m) at her debut.

Floren joins the recent debut winner Selma Spur (Kilmore, January 17) and last week’s impressive Ballarat winner Starred For Life as well-bred fillies with a bright future for Wadham Park.

Floren was a $30,000 purchase by Wadham Park at the 2o08 Magic Millions Summer Sale. Her dam, La Fiorenza, is by Octagonal. Other Wadham Park-trained fillies to win recently include Oneforall, Vitex, Over Exposed and Dom Perion.

OtherThe win took Wadham Park’s tally of wins this season to 30.
