Woodside Park  Mar 03 2010

Woodside Park’s good results at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale continued on Wednesday when the impressive Econsul-Saliah filly (pictured), lot 379, sold for $130,000 to the bid of Caulfield trainer Andrew Noblet.

The beautiful, almost black filly is a half-sister to the Group 1 class sprinter Bank Robber.

To date, Woodside Park has sold four of its five yearlings through the ring, including $100,000 for lot 8, an athletic bay filly by Fastnet Rock from Bee And Bee, bought by syndication company, Slade Bloodstock.

Newcastle trainer Kris Lees paid $60,000 for lot 94, a strong chestnut colt (by Rock Of Gibraltar from Desert Finch), who is from the same family of promising young stallion Snitzel. It’s the same price paid by Eric Lucas for Woodside Park’s filly (lot 96) by Rock Of Gibraltar from Destiny’s Child.
